Fortinet unveils $75m Sydney headquarters

Cybersecurity provider Fortinet has opened its first Asia-Pacific Innovation Hub in North Sydney, marking an expansion of its Australian presence through an investment exceeding AU$75 million.

The new headquarters will house more than 200 employees.

It features a state-of-the-art data centre offering sovereign hosting services and Level 3 security classification capabilities.

"The opening of Fortinet’s new Australian headquarters is a landmark moment and reflects the organisation’s deep commitment to Australia," Dale Nachman, Fortinet’s country manager for Australia said.

The facility includes a Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) staffed by local experts, providing direct support and tailored cybersecurity solutions for customers across government, defence, and critical infrastructure sectors.

"Fortinet’s investment in Australia underscores its commitment to advancing cybersecurity resilience across the region," Vishak Raman, vice president of sales for Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, SAARC, and South East Asia at Fortinet, said.

The building achieves a 4-Star Green Star rating, featuring solar panels and 100 per cent green energy sourcing, supporting Fortinet’s goal of reaching zero emissions for Scopes 1 and 2 by 2030.

A dedicated cyber training facility within the headquarters will support Fortinet’s pledge to train one million people in cybersecurity by the end of 2026, including partnerships with local universities and vocational centres.

The investment follows Fortinet’s tripled business growth in Australia over the past five years and joins recent property investments in the United States, Canada, and Spain.
