Mido Awards Sustainability in the Eyewear Industry
MILAN—The first day of Mido 2025 featured the trade show’s annual awards ceremony, honoring excellence and innovation in the eyewear industry—including in the sustainability landscape. The Stand Up For Green Award, bestowed upon the most sustainable booth at the show, went to Silhouette International, based in Austria, for combining sustainability and design by prioritizing efficient use of resources and waste reduction. In addition, there was a special mention for CSO Costruzione Strumenti Oftalmici, winner of the 2024 Stand Up For Green Award, for its ongoing social and environmental commitments and activities that benefit local communities.
