AAPA LATAM unveils new board for maritime innovation

American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) LATAM recently announced its new Board of Directors to foster networking and develop a comprehensive strategy for the continent and its global partners.

The board’s primary mission is to drive transformation in the regional maritime industry by prioritizing innovation, sustainable growth, and collaboration across all stakeholders in the sector, including ports, terminals, operators, and goods and services providers.

The new governing body comprises representatives from Argentina, Colombia, Curaçao, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Panama, Mexico, and Guatemala. Together, they will work to advocate for the region’s interests while promoting growth and cooperation within the port industry.

Key members of the newly appointed board include:

  • Juan Francisco Linares, General Manager of the Bahía Blanca Port Management Consortium and President of the Board of Directors of AAPA LATAM.
  • Alvaro Rodriguez Ferrero, Executive President at Ventura Group.
  • Guillermo Misiano, Founder and CEO of PTP Group.
  • Humberto de Castro, General Director of the Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA).
  • Juan Curbelo, Administrative President of the National Port Authority of Uruguay.
  • Luiz Garcia Da Silva, General Director of the Administration of the Ports of Paranaguá and Antonina (APPA).
  • Mario Moya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arica Port Company.
  • Rodrigo Torras, CEO of Compas.
  • Zulma Dinelli, Director of the AAPA LATAM Congress.
  • Juan Andrés Duarte, Executive President of AAPA LATAM.
  • Juan Carlos Paz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Port Authority of Peru.
  • Claudio Oliveira, CEO of Brazil Port Terminal (BTP).
  • Lisbeth Inurrieta Salinas, Terminal Manager at Integral Foreign Trade Corporation SA de CV.
  • Vagner Vega, General Director of the Comprehensive Port Administration of the State of Quintana Roo.
  • José Fernando Suriano Buezo, Vice Minister of Transportation of Guatemala and President of the National Port Commission (CPN).
  • Carlos Urriola, President of the Board of Directors of SSA Marine MIT.

This diverse team of leaders is tasked with guiding the regional maritime sector toward a future defined by collaboration, growth, and innovation.
