Watch: RDS Sustainable Agriculture Awards winners
The winners of the RDS Spring Agricultural and Sustainability awards were announced at the RDS in Dublin today (April 9).
Awards were presented to winners in three categories, the 2025 Sustainable Farming award, the 2025 Rural Innovation award, and the 2025 Rural Social Impact award.
Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Noel Grealish, presented the winners with their awards.
The first winners were Arthur & Larissa Preston, Swainstown Farm, Co. Meath who were awarded the 2025 Sustainable Farming award.
Swainstown Farm is a family-run farm with a rich history spanning over 12 generations and a focus on farming alongside nature to produce healthy, nutrient-dense food through sustainable practices and a focus on soil health.

The farm produces chemical-free vegetables, flowers, 100% grass-fed lamb and forest-raised pork, Swainstown Farm embodies a dedication to sustainable living, where tradition and innovation work together to create a thriving, healthy future.
The 2025 Sustainable Rural Innovation Award was won by Living Green in Co. Donegal.

Living Green is a family-run business based in Quigley’s Point, Inishowen, Co. Donegal, originally starting in 2003 as a commercial worm farm.
They’ve since evolved to become the only certified organic and carbon-neutral compost company in Ireland and offer products such as certified organic compost, certified organic wheatgrass shots, and turmeric and beetroot shots.
Finally, the 2025 Rural Social Impact Award was won by Listkennett Assisted Activity Centre, Co. Cork.

As a facility of St. Joseph’s Foundation, which provides services for children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities, Liskennett Equine Assisted Activity Centre offers equine assisted activities to those who attend their service, members of the public, and school pupils with a diagnosis of autism or an intellectual disability.
RDS
The awards celebrate excellence in harnessing the benefits of natural resources and the circular economy.
They recognise those providing products and services that use renewable materials and are designed for reuse and recycling.
The awards also highlight the work of farms and organisations who are enhancing the economic, environmental and social development of Irish agriculture and rural communities.
