Le microplastiche sono ormai ovunque, ma la loro recente scoperta nel cervello umano apre scenari allarmanti per la salute pubblica. Uno studio pubblicato su Nature Medicine rivela la presenza diffusa di particelle inferiori ai 200 nanometri in campioni di tessuto cerebrale umano, con un aumento del 50% negli ultimi otto anni. Gli scienziati ipotizzano un legame con malattie neurodegenerative come la demenza. Un problema invisibile che ci riguarda da vicino, e che richiede azioni concrete e consapevolezza collettiva.
